The presiding deity of the temple in Thirumangaimadam is Veera Narasimhar with Senkamalavalli Thayar. Thirumangai Azhwar and his wife Kumudavalli Thayar performed services here. This temple is also the Kula Deivam or Family Deity for Thirumangai Azhwar and the Ellai Devatha or Guardian Deity for the area.
The temple is a Divya Desam and also one of the five Narasimhars (Pancha Narasimhar) around Thirunangur. It is open from 9 am - 11 am and from 5 pm - 7 pm.
