Ariyakudi is a town about 4 kms from Karaikudi. There is a Perumal temple in this town which is about 400 years old and this temple is called Then Thirupathi (Tirupathi of the South). The Perumal is called Thiruvenkatavudayan and Thayar is Alarmelmangai.
The temple is open from 7.30 am to 12 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8 pm.
